Photo Exposure Correction Services

Exposure correction is a technique for adjusting the exposure indicated by a photographic exposure meter, in consideration of factors that may cause the indicated exposure to result in a less-than-optimal image.  Sometimes images cannot be taken with proper light, color, brightness, and contrast. As a result, the output of images does not look as good as expected. In this regard exposure correction is required. With this technique, images can be presented nicely.

Most DSLR cameras have a display whereby the photographer can set the camera to either over or underexpose the subject by up to three f-stops in 1/3rd stop intervals. Each number on the scale (1, 2, and 3) represents one f-stop, decreasing the exposure by one f-stop will halve the amount of light reaching the sensor. The dots in between the numbers represent 1/3rd of an f-stop.

In the picture, above left, of the stork, the highlights are burned out. The detail has been lost and no amount of post-processing will restore the texture of the feathers. In the picture on the right, we have applied exposure correction and retain the detail in the feathers.
